	Click on pictures to view larger. “Maple core with Ebony top and back, laminated Ebony, maple and rosewood neck, 22 fret Ebony fretboard with recycled ivory inlays, laminated Ebony headstock, black Schaller bridge, Grotoh tuners, natural, burnished finish. Wired same as #4. Warm yet bright and distinct sound. One of my favorites for reasons unknown.” #4 wiring: “Wired for a number of sounds, no tone control, 3 volume controls with push-pull switch and mini switches to regulate tone and different sounds via phase reversal and parallel-series connections of the humbuckers. Bright, sustained sound, but can be warmed up with adjustment of controls.” —Original description by Steve Cripe and transcribed by Hal Hammer, Jr. Master volume and tone controls, 5-way blade switch, mono output jack, middle position coil cut, 1 5/8” brass nut, and ivory firecracker inlay in headstock. Ebony board with 25 ½” scale, .060” ivoroid, black, ivoroid neck binding and jumbo fretwire.		Kimock changes pickup configurations from time to time. It is shown here with three Dimarzio humbucking pickups. It has a Schaller roller bridge with custom ebony saddle by Matt Artinger. Original volume knob removed by Kimock: “I have some right hand stuff that I really enjoy doing that is a little non-electric guitar. It’s a little more like the oud or sorod stroke. It’s a different motion. It requires a little more clearance. It’s a power stroke for me and I need it, and the volume knob placement on certain guitars interferes with that. So with my white Strat and Ebony Cripe, I have had to remove that first knob.”—Steve Kimock 3 body layers: ebony, maple, and ebony.
